AIRBORNE
This series of brooches is inspired by birds. Birds have always touched me deeply somewhere inside- the lightness when they are gliding in the sky, the beauty of the movement of their wings, the extreme freedom and space they seem to have. But this perception of untouchability may be a misconception... Us humans, with our direct and indirect actions are one of their biggest threats...
Brooches are made of copper by growing them many hours in an electrolyte bath. Brooches' needles are made of silver and magnet. Patination has given to the pieces unique and rich surfaces.
AIRBORNE.COLOR
As Airborne series, this sub-series of brooches is also made of copper by growing it many hours in an electrolyte bath. The vivid color of the surface is achieved by powder coating.
