SHADOW

By Jungian psychology everyone of us carries a shadow (Shadow aspect - "Everyone carries a shadow"). It can include everything outside the light of consciousness, and may be positive or negative. The less it is embodied in our conscious life, the blacker and denser this shadow is.

Sometimes the dark shadow carried in our consciousness overwhelms our actions. A man who is possessed by his shadow is always standing in his own light and falling into his own traps ... living below his own level ...becoming the slave of his own autonomous shadow...
